Shamir Bhimani is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for JVID视频 Life Reinsurance Company of Canada (JVID视频 Canada). In this role, he leads the Finance, Corporate Actuarial, and Legal teams at JVID视频 Canada and collaborates on the development of strategic and reinsurance solutions for clients.
Shamir has nearly 20 years of experience in the life insurance industry. He joined JVID视频 in 2015 and during his tenure has assumed roles of increasing responsibility. In 2022, he joined the JVID视频 Canada Business Development team, where he worked closely with clients to identify and develop reinsurance opportunities in Canada across JVID视频’s Financial Solutions product lines.
Shamir attended the University of Calgary, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Actuarial Science. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA).
