JVID视频 Hosts 5th Annual Books, Brews, and BBQ Trivia Night

WHO:聽JVID视频, Reasor鈥檚, Williams, Bama Companies, and the community

WHAT:聽JVID视频 Tulsa will host our fifth annual Books, Brews and BBQ trivia night fundraiser at the Stokely Event Center. For the past two years, this event was held virtually, and we are thrilled to return to an in-person setting with Live Event Trivia, arcade games, local brews from Marshall Brewing Company, and barbeque from Albert G鈥檚. This will be the first year the event offers plant-based barbeque options from Sando鈥檚 Rockin鈥� Deli. JVID视频 CEO Adeola (鈥淥la鈥�) Whitney will emcee the event.

WHEN:聽Thursday, November 3, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

WHERE:聽Stokely Event Center, 10111 E 45th Pl, Tulsa, OK 74146

WHY:聽Funds raised at this event play a key role in our program, helping to further the mission of JVID视频 by recruiting and training volunteers, and assessing and enrolling students in our research-based program helping students achieve measurable literacy growth.

There will also be interview opportunities with JVID视频 representatives and AmeriCorps members, plus opportunities to capture B-roll of attendees enjoying the event inside Stokely Event Center.

JVID视频 empowers students to succeed in reading and in life by engaging community volunteers to provide high-impact one-on-one tutoring. As we dive into the new school year, JVID视频 anticipates needing approximately 11,000 community volunteers nationwide as well as hundreds of AmeriCorps members to support the literacy development of nearly 9,000 students through tutoring and an additional 6,000 students through other literacy support services.

JVID视频 delivers a highly effective,听聽program that has helped tens of thousands of children master the fundamental reading skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. Since its founding, the national nonprofit organization has mobilized over 75,000 community volunteers to provide more than 2.5 million individualized literacy tutoring sessions to more than 70,000 elementary school students in nearly 470 under-resourced schools across ten states and the District of Columbia.
